Download (Safe Source)

Download the compatibility checker safely from the official WhyNotWin11 GitHub releases page below.

  1. When the page opens, scroll down until you see a section labeled Assets.
  2. Click the file named WhyNotWin11.exe to begin the download.
  3. If your browser asks for confirmation, choose Keep — this file is safe when downloaded from the official developer page linked here.

Avoid downloading from any other website to ensure you get the correct version directly from the developer.

Tip: Your browser may flag the file because it isn’t signed by Microsoft. This is normal for many open‑source utilities. You can choose “Keep” to proceed if you trust the source (this page links only to the official developer’s releases).

How to Use the Checker

  1. Run the app

Double‑click the downloaded file. If SmartScreen appears, choose More info → Run anyway.

  2. Wait for the results grid

Each box will turn green (pass) or red (needs attention). Common items include CPU, RAM, Storage, Secure Boot, and TPM 2.0.

  3. If only TPM / Secure Boot is red

This is very common and usually fixable without new hardware. Most systems support these features but have them disabled in BIOS/UEFI. I can enable them for you, or you can check your motherboard manual.

  4. All green? Proceed to the upgrade

Great! Follow the Windows 11 Upgrade Checklist for a safe install with backup and post‑checks.

How to Read the Results

All Green

Your PC meets the requirements. Create/confirm a backup, then upgrade using the Windows 11 Installation Assistant or Windows Update.

Only TPM / Secure Boot Red

This usually means features are disabled, not missing. Enabling TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot in BIOS/UEFI often resolves it. I can handle this for you if you prefer.

Note: Windows 10 support ended on October 14, 2025. Upgrading helps keep your device secure and supported.

FAQ

  • Is the upgrade to Windows 11 free?

If your Windows 10 is activated and your hardware meets the requirements, upgrading the same PC to Windows 11 is typically free.

  • What if my PC says it’s incompatible?

Run the checker above. If only TPM 2.0 or Secure Boot fails, that’s commonly just a BIOS setting. I can enable it and finish the upgrade for you.

  • Do you handle the whole process?

Yes — backup, upgrade, and post‑install testing (apps, printers, antivirus). Message me anytime.
